We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our fantastic Student Services department. This is a fixed term Maternity Cover post until August 2027. The candidate needs to hold a Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance and Development (or equivalent) and either hold or be willing to undertake a Careers Leadership qualification.
Responsibilities
- You will be expected to lead and provide line management for the Careers Advisors.
- Undertake a lead role in the provision of professional careers advice and guidance as part of the Careers programme across the college.
- Support the implementation of a strategy that supports the achievement of the Gatsby Benchmarks and prepares young people for future choices in education, training and employment.
This post is for 28.8 hours per week (4 days) and are flexible on which days are worked. The start date for this role will be the beginning of October 2026.
Richmond upon Thames College is part of the Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge College Group (HRUC) and is one of London’s most successful Further Education Colleges providing education and training to 16‑19 year old’s and adults from across Richmond, London and Surrey, for over 80 years. We have opened a new building in 2020 and a brand‑new technology‑focused STEM Centre in 2024. This exciting and innovative new learning environment is located within the grounds of the current college site, so remains convenient for public transport links – it is adjacent to the A316 and just a short walk from Twickenham rail station and a number of regular London bus routes.
