My client is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join a growing UK technology business supporting customers across commercial, public sector, government and secure technology markets. This is an office-based role in Manchester, working closely with the UK Regional Director, Account Managers, suppliers and internal teams to support the full sales lifecycle.
The role would suit someone with experience in sales support, inside sales, customer support, quotations, order tracking, supplier coordination or commercial administration within an IT, technology, reseller, distribution, managed services or customer-focused environment.
You will be supporting customer engagement, preparing quotations, coordinating pricing and supplier information, maintaining CRM accuracy and helping ensure customers receive a responsive, professional and efficient service.

The role and responsibilities
- Supporting Account Managers throughout the sales cycle
- Preparing accurate and timely customer quotations
- Coordinating pricing, availability and supplier information
- Liaising with distributors, manufacturers and technology partners
- Tracking customer orders and providing proactive updates
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and sales activity information
- Responding to customer queries via telephone and email
- Supporting the resolution of delivery, pricing, order and service-related queries
- Coordinating with purchasing, operations and internal sales teams
- Helping ensure customers receive a professional and responsive service
- Supporting compliance with internal sales processes and commercial controls
- Working closely with senior stakeholders and account teams to support revenue growth
Key skills
- Previous experience in inside sales, sales support, customer support or commercial administration
- Experience preparing quotations and supporting customer orders
- Strong communication skills by phone and email
- Confident dealing with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable maintaining CRM and sales activity records
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM system would be beneficial
- Good Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Customer-focused, proactive and solution-oriented approach
- Able to work full-time from the Manchester office
Desired skills
- Experience within an IT reseller, distributor, technology vendor, systems integrator, managed services provider or similar environment
- Experience supporting sales teams within technology, infrastructure, cloud, cyber or software environments
- Knowledge of IT products, hardware, software, licensing or services would be beneficial
- Experience working with pricing, supplier portals, procurement teams or partner channels
- Salesforce experience would be advantageous
- Experience supporting government, public sector, defence or framework-related customers would be useful, but is not essential
- Understanding of commercial sales processes, order fulfilment and customer account support
