An opportunity has opened for an experienced Senior Rust Developer to join a growing engineering team working on next-generation, cutting-edge national defence technologies. This is a genuinely technical role for somebody with strong commercial Rust experience who is comfortable working across secure systems, networking, distributed architectures and cryptography.
You will be involved throughout the engineering lifecycle designing and developing secure, high-performance software, solving complex technical problems and contributing to architecture and security decisions across highly sensitive systems.

What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and developing high-performance software using Rust
- Building distributed and networked systems
- Working with Zenoh / Eclipse Zenoh, including publish/subscribe and peer-to-peer communications
- Developing secure communications using TLS 1.2/1.3, mTLS, PKI and X.509 certificates
- Working with certificate lifecycle
