My client is looking for a Bid Manager to join a growing UK technology business delivering solutions across UK Government, Defence, Security and NATO-related markets. The role will suit someone who enjoys bid writing, framework management, stakeholder engagement and shaping winning responses in a structured, commercially aware environment.

You will work closely with the UK Regional Director and wider senior team, helping to identify opportunities, manage bid activity, write strong responses and improve the company’s overall approach to bids and proposals. This role offers strong long-term progression and could suit someone looking to grow into a Head of Bids / Head of Proposals role as the UK business continues to scale.

The role and responsibilities

  • Leading and coordinating bids, proposals, RFQs, ITTs and mini-competitions
  • Identifying and reviewing relevant bid and framework opportunities
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders to shape bid strategy and response approach
  • Writing, editing and managing high-quality bid submissions
  • Reviewing tender documentation and ensuring responses are compliant and well structured
  • Coordinating input from sales, technical, commercial, legal and delivery teams
  • Supporting bid / no-bid decisions and capture planning activity
  • Managing framework documentation, renewals, call-offs and related bid activity
  • Helping to develop reusable bid content, templates and proposal material
  • Ensuring bids are submitted on time and to a high standard
  • Supporting continuous improvement across bid processes, governance and win rates
  • Helping the business position itself effectively across public sector and secure technology markets

Key skills

  • Previous experience in bid management, bid writing, proposals or tender response
  • Strong written communication and proposal development skills
  • Experience reviewing frameworks, tender documents and submission requirements
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce compliant, well-structured responses
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Commercially aware with the ability to understand win themes, positioning and value proposition
  • Experience coordinating input from technical, commercial and operational teams
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
