Platform Engineer required to join a rapidly growing UK technology organisation developing highly secure, scalable and automated platforms for some of the UK's most demanding technical environments. This is a genuinely hands-on engineering role sitting across Platform Engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Infrastructure and Software Delivery. You will be working with modern cloud-native technologies to design, build and maintain resilient platforms, automate infrastructure and deployment processes and help engineering teams deliver software securely and efficiently. The environment is highly technical, fast-moving and low on unnecessary bureaucracy, with the opportunity to work on complex projects where security, performance and reliability genuinely matter.

What you'll be doing
- Designing, building and maintaining secure cloud-native platforms
- Developing automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration and operational workflows
- Building and improving CI/CD pipelines
- Implementing Infrastructure-as-Code
- Working extensively with Kubernetes / containerised environments
- Embedding security throughout engineering and software delivery processes
- Supporting modern DevSecOps practices
- Improving platform resilience, scalability and observability
- Working across software engineering, infrastructure and security teams
- Supporting developer platforms and improving the overall developer experience
- Working within highly secure / regulated technical environments
What we're looking for
- Strong experience across several of the following:
- AWS / Cloud Platforms
- Kubernetes
- Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code
- CI/CD
- DevOps / DevSecOps
- Platform Engineering
- Docker / Containers
- Automation / Configuration Management
- Linux
- Cloud-native architecture
- Security tooling / secure software delivery
- Experience building Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) or developer enablement platforms would be particularly interesting.
- Exposure to tools or concepts including Coder, SAST, DAST, SBOM generation, vulnerability scanning or policy-as-code would also be advantageous.
- AWS certification at Associate level or above would be beneficial but is not essential where the practical experience is strong.
- Experience working within high-security, government, defence, national security or similarly regulated environments would obviously be advantageous.
Clearance: Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must hold current active eDV security clearance, or at a minimum DV clearance with willingness to undergo eDV.
