Purpose of the job
The main purpose of the Tele-Screener - Clinical Research is to support in the recruitment of a sufficient number of suitable subjects for participation in the clinical trials, by engaging potential participants through incoming phone calls and website registrations. The primary focus is assisting in the recruitment of cohorts of suitable participants, in accordance with the unique criteria of study guidelines allowing the accurate collection of participant records.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls from study participants and potential participants with a professional tone, creating a welcoming first impression of the organisation.
- Efficiently handle all inquiries by providing informative, understandable, and accurate information regarding the studies and their requirements, eligibility criteria and benefits of participation.
- Process any registrations made through the website, email or via telephone, inputting relevant details into the database, maintaining accurate participant details on the database.
- Liaise with appropriate staff members regarding potential participants suitability.
- Contribute to diversifying and expanding the population of participants on the database by focusing on specific demographic groups such as the elderly or post-menopausal.
- Coordinate the scheduling of provisional screenings and pre-screen appointments for potential volunteers, ensuring the VR Project Manager (VRPM) is informed of any changes.
- Guide the participants through the initial recruitment phase to the point they attend the unit for assessment, at which point they are then handed over to the appropriate VRPM.
- Able to communicate swiftly and clearly with the study VRPM and marketing manager to ensure they are informed of issues regarding marketing and lead generation of specific studies.
