We are looking for a committed Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team and deliver outstanding patient care on a part-time basis.
Your New Role
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral part of our team, providing a wide range of nursing duties. Your responsibilities will include:
* General nursing duties, including patient care, anaesthesia, and assisting in surgery
* Performing diagnostic imaging, lab work, and radiography
* Providing exceptional nursing care to inpatients, including monitoring during anaesthesia and recovery
* Conducting nurse clinics and providing client education
* Assisting with procedures, routine consultations, and theatre duties
Support the Growth of Richmond House
We are a dual-site practice with huge potential and development opportunities. Our clinic is equipped with modern technology such as digital x-ray, a new ultrasound machine, dental equipment, multi-parameter monitoring, and in-house IDEXX laboratory equipment. We are committed to continually investing in the practice and our team, with ongoing refurbishments to further support our growth and enhance service delivery.
This role will primarily be based at Richmond House Vets with occasional cover and weekend work required at Gatehouse Vets.
The Skills You\’ll Bring to Our Team
We are looking for a highly motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who is committed to providing the highest standards of care and has a genuine passion for animal welfare. You will need to have a valid RCVS registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, with experience in small animal practice (newly qualified nurses are welcome to apply). Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential, as is a proactive, enthusiastic attitude towards nursing and patient care.
Working Hours
This is a part-time role requiring 15 hours per week, preferably scheduled as three 5-hour shifts from 3:00PM to 7:00PM on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. You will also participate in a 1 in 4 Saturday rota which will be worked at our other site, Gatehouse Vets. There are no out-of-hours duties associated with this role.
