We’re looking for an exceptional Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Richmond Hill Hotel, an independent Georgian gem overlooking London’s greenest borough. As our Maintenance Assistant, you’ll play a key role in making our hotel a welcoming and well-run place for both guests and team members. Whether it’s getting the heating just right on a chilly day or carrying out regular maintenance checks, your work helps shape the guest experience. You’re the behind-the-scenes hero who keeps the magic going.

To be successful as the Maintenance Assistant you must have worked in a hotel as the Maintenance Assistant and be a natural when it comes to DIY and be able to turn your hand to just about anything. You will also need to be the type of person that takes pride in their work offering attention to detail along with some flexibility when it comes to the hours of work as you will appreciate that once a job is started it needs to be completed. You will also need to have the ability to build a rapport with both guests and line managers as occasionally the repair work could cause some disruption within the property.

What you will be doing:

As the hotel Maintenance Assistant, your duties will include working within a small team completing general maintenance around the hotel, Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks, and working closely with housekeeping and front office departments to co-ordinate maintenance activities in guest bedrooms and public areas. You will respond quickly to any request ensuring any guest needs/requirements are dealt with efficiently and immediately.
