We are looking for an exceptional Maintenance Assistant to join our maintenance team.

We are looking for enthusiastic and talented individuals with a passion for hospitality. We embrace our core values of Diversity, Innovation and Generosity in everything we do, and we are looking for originality, proactive thinking and understanding in our team members.
As the hotel Maintenance Assistant, your duties will include working within a small team completing general maintenance around the hotel, Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks, and working closely with housekeeping and front office departments to co-ordinate maintenance activities in guest bedrooms & public areas. You will respond quickly to any request ensuring any guest needs/requirements are dealt with efficiently and immediately.
As this is a hands-on role, you will also deal with all the maintenance within the hotel which can range from changing a light bulb to fixing a leak. This role will include a wide spectrum of duties depending on your ability, such as emergency light testing and fire testing. You will be required to work on Saturdays.
To be successful as the Maintenance Assistant, you must have worked in a hotel as the Maintenance assistant/engineer and be a natural when it comes to DIY, able to turn your hand to just about anything. You will also need to take pride in your work, offering attention to detail along with some flexibility when it comes to the hours of work, as you will appreciate that once a job is started it needs to be completed. You will also need to have the ability to build a rapport with both guests and line managers, as occasionally the repair work could cause some disruption within the property.
