As a Commis Pastry Chef, you will support the Pastry Chef and wider Kitchen team in preparing, producing, and presenting high-quality desserts, pastries, afternoon tea items, and baked goods for our restaurant, events, weddings, and conferences. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their pastry skills in a professional hotel environment while learning from an experienced and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and production of desserts, cakes, pastries, breads, and afternoon tea items
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and health and safety standards
  • Support the Kitchen team during busy service periods
  • Assist with stock rotation and storage in line with food safety procedures
  • Help minimise food waste and contribute to kitchen efficiency
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Kitchen department

  • Has a genuine passion for pastry and baking
  • Has previous experience in a professional kitchen environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Has a passion for delivering exceptional food and guest experiences
  • Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in their work
