RichmondHill Academy is seeking to recruit a committed and inspirational colleague tothe role of Level 1 Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with specialeducational needs within our Specialist Resource Provision, Rainbow Base. Thisis a highly rewarding role, working with children with complex communicationneeds, where you will play a key part in supporting access to a personalisedcurriculum and helping pupils to develop independence and reach their fullpotential.

Workingunder the direction of teaching and senior staff, you will support learningwithin the classroom, contribute to pupils’ social and emotional development,and help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment. You willbuild positive relationships with pupils, encourage interaction andindependence, and support the delivery of tailored programmes, including speechand language interventions

We are looking for someone who:

  • Hasgood numeracy and literacy skills, with GCSE Grade A*–C (or equivalent) inEnglish and Mathematics
  • Hasexperience of working with, or caring for, young people
  • Canbuild positive relationships and support pupils with a range of additionalneeds
  • Workseffectively as part of a team and shows a proactive, flexible approach
