This is a high-profile opportunity to join a Lending team at an established Real Estate investor in a senior origination-focused capacity. The role is designed for an ambitious and commercially driven Real Estate lending professional capable of immediately contributing to transaction flow, building market relationships, and independently managing lending opportunities through the full lifecycle.

Reporting directly into senior leadership, the successful candidate will play a key role in the continued growth of the platform, originating and executing real estate-backed lending transactions across a broad range of opportunities. The position offers significant autonomy, direct exposure to decision-makers, and the opportunity to operate within an entrepreneurial yet disciplined lending environment backed by a highly established investment platform.

What you’ll do

  • You will be responsible for sourcing, structuring, and executing new real estate lending opportunities, while also managing transactions from origination through to repayment.
  • Acting as a key representative of the business within the market, you will develop and maintain relationships with borrowers, brokers, developers, and intermediaries to generate high-quality lending opportunities aligned with the fund’s investment strategy.
  • The role requires full cradle-to-grave ownership of transactions. You will assess opportunities, prepare and present credit proposals, undertake financial and commercial analysis, coordinate due diligence processes, oversee legal documentation, and ensure successful completion and repayment of facilities.
  • This is not a pure sales role; success will be measured equally on disciplined execution, portfolio quality, and lending performance.
  • You will monitor lending transactions in line with underwriting assumptions, ensuring payments and receipts are captured correctly while maintaining oversight of ongoing loan performance.
  • Responsibilities will also include reviewing reports from valuers and quantity surveyors, preparing committee papers, instructing lawyers and professional advisers, and ensuring all lending activity remains aligned with approved lending parameters.
  • Alongside transaction activity, you will contribute to broader business development initiatives, supporting the continued growth of the lending platform and maintaining a high standard of client service and relationship management throughout the lending lifecycle.

The role is ideally suited to an individual currently operating within an origination or Associate Director-level position who is ready to step into a more senior and autonomous lending role. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial instincts with operational discipline, professionalism, and a willingness to remain hands-on with day-to-day transaction management.

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience within a real estate lending or loan origination-focused role.
  • Strong track record of sourcing and executing real estate-backed lending transactions.
  • Confidence and credibility to originate significant annual lending volumes.
  • Ability to independently manage the full lending lifecycle from origination through to repayment.
  • Strong financial analysis, underwriting, and transaction management capabilities.
  • Commercially driven while maintaining disciplined credit and operational standards.
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills with borrowers, brokers, and advisers.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset balanced with a willingness to remain detail-oriented and operationally hands-on.
  • Comfortable operating within a fast-paced and performance-driven environment.
  • Experience within bridging, development finance, stretch senior, mezzanine, or investment finance would be advantageous.
