Company Description:
- Our client is a specialist real estate consultancy that has traditionally focused on building surveying.
- Over the last 10 years they have been growing their Project Management team and their reputation in this service line. They are known for delivering projects in the residential, education, commercial and data centre and industrial sectors.
- They are now keen to add to their team and bring those in who can provide development management and or project management services. As such they are keen to speak with those who are from a building surveying, project management, development or architectural background.
- On the commercial office side they deliver commercial office cut and carve projects valued circa £20M.
Role Description:
- Deliver projects across logistics, data centres, and commercial sectors.
- Provide project management or development management services or both as appropriate for the client.
- Support and lead project management from planning through to delivery, ensuring quality, budget, and programme targets are met.
- Work closely with clients and stakeholders, building strong relationships and confidently representing the business.
- Assist in growing the team, supporting expansion beyond traditional building surveying.
- Oversee procurement, contract administration (JCT/NEC), and financial controls across multiple schemes.
- Conduct site visits, track progress, and resolve technical or delivery challenges.
- Manage communication and reporting for clients and senior leadership, ensuring clarity on risks and milestones.
- Contribute to sector growth, particularly in data centres and commercial developments, while mentoring and supporting junior colleagues.
Requirements:
- Circa 7 years’ experience in project management or building surveying in the UK with exposure to logistics, data centres, or commercial projects.
- Development management experience is of interest but not mandatory
- Confident, client-facing professional able to work independently and take ownership of schemes.
- Strong technical background, with ability to transition from traditional surveying into PM+ responsibilities.
- Experience with procurement, tendering, and contract administration (JCT and/or NEC).
- Commercially aware with proven ability to manage project budgets and fee structures.
- Excellent organisational, reporting, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, able to inspire confidence in clients and colleagues.
- Ambitious and career-driven, ready to step up into a senior tole as the business grows.
- Must have UK consultancy experience
