Company Description:
- Our client is an established and admired Project Management Consultancy business focused on projects in the UK. They are now looking for a Project Director to work on site on a hotel project.
Role Description:
- Lead hotel development projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with client objectives, brand standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee design and planning by coordinating with architects, engineers, and consultants to optimize guest experience and operational efficiency.
- Manage project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards while proactively mitigating risks.
- Control project finances, including budgeting, cost management, and contract negotiations to prevent overruns and ensure financial efficiency.
- Ensure stakeholder coordination, acting as the primary liaison between clients, investors, hotel operators, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor construction progress, resolving challenges, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring compliance with hospitality regulations.
- Lead and mentor project teams, allocating resources effectively and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Report project status, preparing updates, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations for senior management and clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Must have consultancy real estate project management experience, with a strong focus on hotel developments.
- Proven expertise in leading hotel projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory standards.
- Strong contract management skills, including FIDIC, claims management, and consultant/contractor negotiations.
- Extensive knowledge of project controls, risk assessment, and stakeholder coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
- Deep understanding of international hospitality standards, local building regulations, and sustainability frameworks.
