Our client is seeking an ambitious Investment Associate to join its growing hotel investment platform. This is an exceptional opportunity for an analytically strong investment professional to work alongside a highly experienced team responsible for sourcing, underwriting and executing hotel investments across Europe.

Over recent years, the platform has evolved significantly, transitioning from a traditional owner-investor model into a sophisticated investment platform capable of deploying both proprietary and third-party capital. Today, the business combines institutional investment discipline with the agility of an entrepreneurial owner, offering employees direct exposure to acquisitions, investment committees, ownership and senior decision-makers from the outset.

This role is designed for someone who already possesses a strong investment banking foundation and is looking to move into principal investing. Whilst previous hotel experience is not essential, a genuine interest in operational real estate and hospitality, coupled with exceptional financial modelling skills and intellectual curiosity, will be key to success.

What you'll do

  • Support the underwriting, execution and management of acquisitions across multiple European markets.
  • Build detailed financial models, analyse investment opportunities, undertake commercial due diligence and prepare investment papers for presentation to senior leadership and investment committees.
  • Work across the full transaction lifecycle, collaborating with internal asset management, operations, finance and commercial teams, alongside external advisers, lenders and legal counsel to deliver complex hotel acquisitions and strategic investment opportunities.
  • Gain exposure to investments funded through both proprietary capital and institutional joint venture structures.
  • Work closely with the wider investment leadership team, with regular exposure to CEO and the ownership group.

What you'll need

  • Approximately 2–4 years' experience within a leading Investment Bank, Real Estate Investment Banking team, Corporate Finance advisory business, or principal investment platform.
  • Strong real estate transaction experience with the ability to independently build complex financial models from first principles.
  • Excellent understanding of valuation methodologies, investment analysis, cash flow modelling and commercial real estate fundamentals.
  • Ability to explain not only how a model works, but why assumptions have been made and the commercial implications behind them.
  • Outstanding academic credentials with a degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Mathematics, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Fluent English together with at least one additional European language. German, Polish, Italian or other European languages would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong commercial judgement and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, intellectually curious and eager to take ownership from day one.
  • Collaborative, humble and team-oriented, with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a high-performing culture.
  • A genuine interest in hospitality and operational real estate, with the desire to build a long-term career within hotel investing.
