Shape the financial success of one of London's most exciting lifestyle hotels. Our client is seeking an accomplished Director of Finance to join the leadership team at its luxury lifestyle hotel located close to Shoreditch. This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of an innovative international hospitality group renowned for creating design‑led hotels that blend exceptional guest experiences with contemporary style and commercial excellence.

As Director of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance while partnering closely with the General Manager and regional leadership team to support the hotel's continued growth and success.

What you'll do:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership across all aspects of the hotel's operation, ensuring robust financial controls while delivering insightful commercial analysis to support business performance.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, payroll oversight, statutory compliance, and month‑end processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely reporting across the business.
  • Work collaboratively with operational department heads to identify opportunities to improve profitability, optimise costs, enhance productivity, and support commercial decision‑making across rooms, food & beverage, and all revenue‑generating departments.
  • Lead the hotel's finance function, maintaining effective internal controls, managing external audits, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with ownership and senior stakeholders, providing meaningful financial insight to support strategic initiatives, capital investment decisions, and long‑term business planning.

What you'll need:

  • Previous experience as a Director of Finance, Financial Controller, or senior hotel finance leader within the hospitality sector.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Experience managing hotel budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow.
  • Excellent understanding of financial controls, compliance, audit, and statutory reporting.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience developing and mentoring finance teams.
  • Outstanding analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong relationships across operational departments.
  • Previous hotel experience is essential.
  • Professional accountancy qualifications are welcomed but are not essential.
