Are you a responsible, honest and reliable person willing to maintain cleanliness, security and a welcoming atmosphere?
Elleray Community Association are looking for a Caretaker who is practical, has experience in DIY and is well-organised and capable of prioritising their own work.
The ideal candidate should be practical and have experience in DIY and an understanding of safe working practices and health and safety legislation. Additionally, you should have some understanding of building construction and design and be physically fit and capable as heavy lifting may be required.
This role involves a varied routine so it is important that you can be flexible while also being able to meet targets, work to a schedule and follow instructions. You should have good verbal communication skills to interact with children and adults and be able to work on your own and/or be capable of supervising people.
You will be working as part of a small team so it is important to be adaptable to any situation and flexible to be able to respond to the organisation’s business needs. In return, your post will be essential to the successful continuation of a long-established charity as it expands into a newly built community centre.
