Full Time, Required for September 2026. The Senior Administration Officer is a key member of the school's administrative team and is often the sole member of staff based within the school office. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the school office, providing a professional and welcoming front-of-house service, and delivering high-quality administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, staff, parents, governors, and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the planning, development, and organisation of administration systems, procedures, and policies that facilitate the smooth operation of the school.
  • Analyse and evaluate data and information to produce relevant reports including HR and finance.
  • Achieve value for money in procurement and resource management.
  • Undertake the administration of human resources matters including contracts of employment.
  • Provide a professional and friendly front-of-house service, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills with staff, parents, governors, and external agencies.
  • Handle multiple priorities and work independently with initiative.
  • Be flexible and able to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Show proficiency in ICT and use a range of software applications.
  • Display excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask and solve problems independently.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications in English or Maths essential.
  • NVQ Level 3, degree, or equivalent desirable.
  • Experience in educational administration preferred.
