Ashcroft Technology Academy (ATA) is looking to appoint TLAs to support teaching provision for students with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) or Special Educational Needs. ATA is a highly oversubscribed school, recognised in its most recent OFSTED inspection as providing an "Exceptional" quality of education, behaviour and achievement.
Role Summary:
- Provide flexible support to students with Education Health and Care Plans.
- Support a range of students in and out of the classroom, ensuring learners with special needs have full access to the National Curriculum.
- Identify barriers to student learning and develop ways of overcoming these.
- Work within a dynamic team and liaise confidently with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Excellent personal organisation and ICT skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Confidence in working with young people in a school environment, including those in difficult circumstances.
- Subject‑specific expertise or academic interest is an advantage.
Working Hours:
- 36½ hours per week, 40 weeks per year.
- Part‑time arrangements may be considered.
- Flexible hours required, including occasional evening meetings.
