As a Procurement & Lettings Solutions Officer, you'll play a key role in transforming the lives of homeless residents in Richmond and Wandsworth by securing good-quality private rented homes for people who need them most.
You will source, inspect, negotiate, and secure privately rented properties across Richmond and Wandsworth, unlocking new housing opportunities and preventing homelessness in your community.

About the Role Spotting Opportunities.
You will research online listings, scan property portals, and explore local neighbourhoods to identify private landlords and agents who may be open to letting their properties to the council.
Building Relationships.
You will reach out to landlords and estate agents, pitch the benefits of partnering with the council, and maintain strong, positive relationships that encourage ongoing collaboration.
Negotiating Deals.
You will use your negotiation skills to secure properties at affordable rates, helping deliver value for money and ensuring local taxpayers' funds are spent wisely.
Offering Incentives.
You will offer landlords cash incentives and support packages that make working with the council easy, appealing, and commercially attractive.
Conducting Property Inspections.
You will visit properties, complete compliance checks, and ensure homes meet key standards supported by full in-house training.
You will work towards a professional Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS) qualification, fully paid for and delivered by the council.
