We wish to appoint a Biology graduate to join our small team of experienced technicians. The position is 36 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks), starting September 2026. This is an event‐linked maternity cover role, and we are open to part‐time candidates.
Qualifications and Skills
- Biology graduate with an excellent understanding of science up to A‐Level.
- Experience working in a school laboratory or similar environment desirable.
- Methodical work with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively to teaching staff and students.
- Ability to support students and teachers in the preparation of practicals for Biology.
- Good written communication and numeracy skills.
- Proficiency with ICT and willingness to learn new packages.
- Appreciation of laboratory preparation routines and adherence to good practice.
- Effective teamwork and flexible approach to work.
- Horticultural interest or experience is an advantage.
