Overview
In this Advanced Practitioner role within the MASH, you will help families access the right services at the right time to improve children’s outcomes. You will work in a multi-agency, co-located team and lead practitioners, supported by Family and Systemic Psychotherapists and Practice Specialists. You’ll apply the Outstanding Practice Framework to simplify complex decisions and share your expertise to strengthen practice across partners. This position offers coaching, collaborative problem solving and a clear impact on safeguarding in Wandsworth. Responsibilities
- lead and support practitioners to ensure timely access to services for children and young people
- provide clear, supportive consultation to partner agencies on referrals to MASH
- collaborate with cross-agency partners to challenge and guide practice in line with the vision and values
- contribute to an improvement plan and help create an outstanding service
- supervise students and/or junior practitioners
- participate in continuous learning and reflective practice within the MASH and broader team
Key requirements
- qualified and professionally registered Social Worker with Social Work England and ASYE completed
- solid knowledge of current legislation and London Safeguarding Children Procedure and Practice Guidance
- commitment to relational practice
- ability to provide constructive consultation to partners
- ability to work collegially within the MASH and support improvement efforts
- experience supervising students or practitioners
- strong communication and consultation
- collaborative teamwork
- relational and empathetic approach
- knowledge of current safeguarding legislation and procedures
- experience with family-centered, relational practice
- ability to navigate multi-agency collaboration
