The Learning and Development (L&D) Team supports colleagues across Richmond and Wandsworth to build the skills, confidence and knowledge they need to deliver high‑quality services. The L&D Team sits within Organisational Development and Learning and plays an important role in helping employees develop, adapt and perform well in a changing workplace. The team designs and delivers learning that is practical, inclusive and aligned to the needs of services across Richmond and Wandsworth. This includes corporate learning, management development, digital skills, compliance training and support for organisational change.

In this role you will support the successful adoption of Copilot by helping new users feel confident from the outset. You will design and deliver face‑to‑face and remote learning sessions, maintain the SharePoint Navigator Communications site, share updates and new features through the Navigator Engage community, and create learning materials in a range of formats. You will also facilitate action learning sets, clinics and host events to encourage people to practice, ask questions and learn from each other. A key part of the role will be listening to users, gathering feedback and using this insight to improve the learning offer. You will work closely with colleagues across the L&D Team and wider organisation, support junior team members where needed, and contribute to a positive, flexible and customer‑focused learning service.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Solid understanding of adult learning principles, the training cycle, and how Copilot works.
  • Experience designing and delivering learning across different platforms and presenting to various groups.
  • Intermediary to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office365 applications (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Good interpersonal skills, flexible approach to service delivery, ability to deliver excellent customer service and build effective relationships.
  • Experience creating promotional materials such as posters, news articles, and blogs.
