Estate Services Officers in Wandsworth Borough perform a range of essential tasks on and around the council-managed blocks and estates from responding to emergencies such as burst pipes and lift trappings to the inspection of repairs and monitoring of cleaning contractors. You will be responsible for providing an emergency response and be a vital interface between the residents and other internal and external teams, as well as monitoring noise and anti-social nuisance on behalf of environmental services. On occasion, you will also require transporting stray dogs which have been tethered, to holding kennels on behalf of the Animal Welfare Service. Due to the nature of this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator, enjoy lone working and have strong problem-solving skills. Estate services Officers in Wandsworth Borough are a role in providing core services on and around the council managed blocks and estates. You will be a crucial interface between residents and other council and external services; therefore, it is important that the successful candidate will be a strong communicator, be able to remain calm under pressure and have a natural flair for problem solving. This role serves as important role within the communities where no two days are the same, some of the duties include (but are not limited to) responding to emergency situations such as lift trappings, burst pipes and monitoring antisocial behaviour and noise nuisance on the estates, through to the monitoring of repairs and cleaning contractors and responding to complaints of stray dogs, on occasions where stray dogs are the issue, there may be the need to transport the stray dog to safety or third party services and therefore you must be comfortable working around dogs. Essential Qualifications, Skills And Experience A driving licence is essential.
