Term time only (39 weeks) / 36 hours per week. GPS4 [Spine Point 7‑10]. Actual £27,224 – £28,419 per annum. Start September 2026.
We wish to appoint a Biology graduate to join our small team of experienced technicians.
The successful candidate will require an excellent understanding of Science up to A‑Level.
Experience of working in a school laboratory or similar environment would be desirable.
Responsibilities
- Work methodically, paying particular attention to detail
- Relate effectively to teaching staff and students with strong interpersonal skills
- Support students and teachers in the preparation of practicals for Biology
- Write clear communication and maintain numeracy skills
- Use good ICT skills and willingness to learn new packages
- Adhere to laboratory preparation routines and good practice
- Work effectively as part of a team with a flexible approach to work
Qualifications
- Graduate in Biology or a science discipline that covers Biology up to A‑Level
- Excellent understanding of A‑Level Biology concepts
- Good written communication, numeracy, and ICT skills
- Desirable: Experience working in a school laboratory or similar environment
- Desirable: Horticultural interest or experience
