Attendance Officer – term time; 24 hours per week over 5 days. Starting salary: NJC pay scale, Scale 5 point 12, full time equivalent £34,864; pro rata £20,231. To start in September 2026 or sooner.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead on improving pupil attendance and punctuality;
  • Monitor and analyse attendance data;
  • Follow up absences;
  • Implement targeted interventions including meetings, calls and home visits.
  • Support safeguarding, pupil welfare and behaviour to contribute to a positive school environment and high standards.
  • Ensure pupils are fully engaged in their education to underpin teaching and learning.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Good standard of computer skills and literacy;
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload.

All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check. Saint Cecilia's Church of England School is a Church of England school; commitment to its ethos is welcomed. A Christian commitment is not essential.
