The predicted salary is between 37602 - 44235 £ per year.

You will play a key role in supporting Richmond Arts Service, artists and the local arts ecology, by helping to deliver and develop dynamic and sustainable income streams; from venue hire to retail and individual giving initiatives. With experience in a commercially focused environment you will be passionate about the arts and understand the importance of income generation in helping to support, shape and deliver excellent programmes for our audiences.

You will work closely with clients, suppliers, artists, makers and creative sector partners on projects ranging from venue hire to makers markets, helping to deliver a commercial programme that is aspirational, innovative and upholds the ethos and vision of the Richmond Borough Arts Service and Orleans House Gallery.

About the role

  • Demonstrate excellent project management skills to lead on delivery of the objectives of the commercial plan across its three primary income streams: venue hire, retail and individual giving.
  • Lead on administration relating to private hires and retail including liaising with clients and suppliers, creating event schedules, undertaking stock takes, buying merchandise for the onsite shop and online Shopify platform.
  • Support the implementation of the newly introduced individual giving revenue stream by tracking donations; helping to develop fundraising campaigns.
  • Create public facing content from hire documentation, to website copy and social media content.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, artists, makers and sector partners.
  • Collate feedback and develop evaluation tools to contribute to service KPI's and support best practice.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure accessibility and inclusivity.
  • Oversee financial processes and budgets as well as financial targets relating to income generation.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of the importance of income generation within arts and cultural organisations and knowledge of common income streams and revenue initiatives.
  • Experience of working in a commercially focused environment or an income generating role.
  • Experience of working in a busy, public facing environment.
  • Knowledge of budget management and income tracking methods with some experience of budget management.
  • Administrative experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
