As an HGV Driver / HIAB Operator, you will be the backbone of our Highways and Street Lighting team, delivering essential materials, clearing roads and helping keep our communities safe and connected.
About the role
Every day is different. One morning you might be delivering street lighting columns with precision using your HIAB crane. The next, you are clearing snow to keep roads safe or towing vital equipment to a worksite. You will be trusted to:
- Operate HIAB crane lorries with clamshell, scissors and hook attachments.
- Deliver and collect skips, tools and materials across the borough.
- Support winter gritting and emergency call-outs.
- Keep accurate timesheets and work records.
- Be part of a team that values safety, reliability and community service.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- A valid Category C Driving Licence
- HIAB competence (NPORS or equivalent)
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights and weekends.
