About The Role
The Programme Manager English and ESOL will work with the Head of Foundation Learning to provide leadership and management to the curriculum and teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing RHACC’s English and ESOL provision, which includes both accredited and non-accredited courses as well as community and outreach provisions. The role involves providing supportive line management to tutors, ensuring high-quality teaching, eliminating poor practice, and driving outstanding learner outcomes. A key focus will be delivering a learner-centred approach that removes barriers to learning and enables all students to achieve their full potential. The role also includes teaching up to 720 hours per year.
About You
As a successful candidate, you will hold a relevant degree or Level 5 Subject Specialist qualification, a full professional teaching qualification, and ideally, an internal quality assurance qualification or be willing to acquire one. Management training or evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) will be an added advantage. You will bring a strong understanding of Equality, Diversity, and customer care, with a proven ability to deliver outstanding teaching. Acting as a role model for teaching excellence, you’ll have experience in monitoring and implementing quality systems and in delivering operational plans that meet performance targets. You will be skilled in developing new courses and programs that address the needs of diverse learners, and capable of successfully influencing and managing delegated tasks. Your experience in course management and working effectively within a team will complement your ability to meet deadlines and work independently. You will also have experience managing staff, including performance management, motivation, and development. Proficiency in using ICT as both a teaching and management tool is essential.
