HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
Peter Millar & G/FORE International are looking for a strategic and commercially minded Performance Marketing Manager to lead and deliver our acquisition and retention marketing within the E-commerce team. The role requires someone with strong analytical thinking combined with creative and commercial instinct, working closely with internal teams and external partners to drive revenue, customer growth, and marketing efficiency.
The role involves leading the performance marketing strategy end-to-end – from designing full-funnel digital campaigns to managing budgets, supporting team development, and reporting to senior stakeholders.
Strategy & Planning
- Own and evolve the global digital marketing strategy across all acquisition and retention channels (including Paid Media, SEO, CRM, Affiliates), ensuring alignment with business goals and trading priorities
- Lead the planning and execution of campaign strategies for key marketing moments, product launches, and brand initiatives as well as always on prospecting and remarketing activity
- Work with the brand team to connect upper-funnel activity with performance channels, including influencer, organic social, and content collaborations
- Explore and evaluate new marketing channels and technologies; review existing channels for scalability, efficiency, and performance uplift
- Manage and optimise the UK & Intl performance marketing budget for all channels, tracking monthly spend and reallocating based on performance and business need
Performance Marketing
- Adopt a test and learn approach – continuously identify new opportunities, create and analyse tests, look for ways to scale through experimentation
- Plan and improve account structures with the aim to maximise performance and returns
- Own reporting across all performance channels including but not limited to paid media, affiliates, and SEO, providing actionable insights weekly and monthly to senior stakeholders and colleagues
- Lead performance marketing agency relationships, particularly in Paid Media, ensuring strategy, execution, and creative are continuously optimised for ROI
- Brief and manage the development of creative and copy assets for paid media in collaboration with the internal brand and creative teams
Email, SMS & CRM
- Plan and oversee the retention strategy including email and SMS marketing, driving customer lifetime value, segmentation, and personalisation
- Support and guide the Digital Marketing Executive on CRM operations, including ad hoc email builds, campaign scheduling, and performance analysis in Klaviyo
- Collaborate with the team to grow subscriber bases and implement new automated flows (e.g. welcome journeys, birthday campaigns)
- Ensure seamless cross-channel execution of campaigns to deliver consistent messaging and customer experience
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide hands-on support, guidance, and mentoring to the Digital Marketing Executive, including career development, goal setting, and upskilling
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Ecom, Brand, Merchandising and external agency teams to execute campaigns and meet revenue targets
- Partner with the US marketing team to align on global strategy, share learnings, and co-execute international campaigns
- Work with the Creative team to develop best in class assets for campaigns, drawing on past learnings and insights
Operations & Reporting
- Support the Director of Ecommerce with cross-departmental project management across a variety of disciplines, working closely with other members of the Ecommerce team in the UK and US to prioritise and deliver against deadlines
- Manage marketing invoices and raise POs for all third-party agencies and contractors, ensuring accuracy and tracking against budget
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
- Solid professional background in Performance Marketing with significant hands-on experience of planning, implementation and optimisation of E-commerce performance marketing campaigns
- Agency experience a plus
- International (Europe) experience a bonus
- Budget management and forecasting experience
- Process and goals driven with strong attention to detail and a focus on driving forward best practice and test and learn
- Expert knowledge and experience using Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, Klaviyo
- Data driven approach to marketing with excellent analytical skills, strong Excel user confident with formulas and pivot tables
- Excellent project management skills, ensuring tasks are delivered to deadlines and work is prioritised accordingly
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with confidence in developing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
