Overview

Head of Environment & Health & Safety. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT? As a member of the Building & Offices team you\’ll be responsible for strategic development and delivery the Health and Safety strategy, alongside the day-to-day implementation including projects, directives across the UK. You\’ll be responsible for ensuring that all buildings are fully compliant for our colleagues and visitors. You will build strong collaborative relationships with key business stakeholders. Be a real team player with a great work ethic and can-do attitude that works with the wider team to make things happen. Identify and implement areas of improvement across the UK in consultation with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior Leadership in the development and implementation of Richemont Health & Safety & Environmental Guidelines.
  • Conduct / audits /inspections and carry out compliance checks of standards in all Richemont locations.
  • Work with third parties to create and maintain Health and Safety and Fire Action Plans
  • Organise and coordinate training in Health and Safety matters to ensure compliance with legislation
  • Monitor and review Health and Safety trends within the UK and identify areas of improvement.
  • Conduct incident and accident investigation as required. Identify root causes advise on remedial actions and preventative measures. Recognise lessons learnt and communicate across the teams.
  • Liaise with the Health and Safety Executive and other legislative bodies as required.
  • Support the development of measurement systems to ensure that Health and Safety performance are accurately monitored.
  • Hold budgetary responsibility for your area.
  • Recognise, acknowledge and reward performance excellence
  • Promote an environment where we successfully operate as one team, with presence, high standards, taking personal responsibility for everything we do
  • Represent BOS at all appropriate meetings in terms of safety to understand colleague needs and views, always maintaining clear and open channels of communication.
  • Work with our colleagues in group and region insurance, H&S and security to ensure we are always operating in line with Richemont policies
  • Work closely with all capital project teams to ensure CDM and safety regulations are followed from design thru handover
  • Review of all internal / External Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Working with the group and Region you will take ownership of the UK reporting tools
  • Work closely with other departments to create and implement the UK H/S business continuity plan

Qualifications

  • Safety Qualification; minimum NEBOSH qualification (essential)
  • SNEBOSH diploma; Member of BCSP (preferred)
  • ISO accreditation (preferred)
  • Experience in UK facilities and workplace legislation (essential)
  • Experience of managing risk and compliance topics (essential)
  • Environmental awareness (essential)
  • Proven track record of working with large service providers and partners as a must
  • Track record of creating a positive safety culture
  • Safety Background in a high end retail environment as an advantage
  • IT proficient
  • Proactive and highly organised with the ability to plan ahead and multi-task
  • Confident and clear communication style
  • Possess great influencing skills and an excellent ability to build rapport with key stakeholders
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work, including the location and hours
