We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Wholesale Manager to join our Montblanc UK team. This pivotal role is responsible for effectively driving our business across the North Territory & Ireland, ensuring maximum profitability and productivity by overseeing all activities within our extensive network. You will be instrumental in developing our partnerships, executing our strategic vision, and negotiating and implementing robust sales plans across all channels in your designated area. This is a field-based role, requiring significant travel.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing customers, striving to achieve and surpass forecasted sales goals through proactive sell-out activities, effective Shop-in-Shop (SIS) implementations, and regular direct and online client meetings.
  • Manage and visit wholesale accounts across all channels within the territory, with approximately 80% of the role being field-based.
  • Define and manage range plans, oversee product phase-outs, and successfully introduce new products across all categories (including NOS, Model stock, and Auto replan).
  • Enhance Montblanc's presence in stores, elevate visual merchandising to Maison standards, and negotiate prime retail locations.
  • Ensure online and in-store policies, operational standards, and procedures are clearly communicated, understood, and rigorously implemented by our partners, whilst also proposing continuous improvement actions.
  • Regularly monitor all online sites and activities to safeguard and uphold brand image in strict accordance with Montblanc guidelines.
  • Take ownership of sales planning processes, including Sales Budgets, 5-Year Plans, and Action Plans, with full accountability for accounts and the implementation of related strategies.
  • Execute weekly reports, conduct thorough sales analyses, manage sell-out declarations, oversee stock inventories, and handle all other activities pertinent to account management (e.g., booster activities).
  • Provide accurate analysis of weekly and seasonal trade performance with clear, immediate feedback and actionable plans to boost sales.
  • Forge strong, collaborative relationships with all internal departments, including Visual Merchandising, SIS, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Manage orders and follow-ups, regularly liaising with the logistics team on all operational activities, and meticulously monitoring back orders and deliveries.
  • Provide essential Visual Merchandising support in stores as required.
  • Regularly deliver engaging and comprehensive category training sessions to all accounts.
  • Undertake any other ad hoc tasks as necessary to support the business.

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

  • Strong wholesale sales experience, with a proven track record of personal ownership in managing and developing business with key partners.
  • Possess a strong strategic, analytical, and entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with a positive and charismatic demeanour.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and presentation skills.
  • Availability to travel extensively (approximately 80% of the time), with the ability to work autonomously and thrive within a fast-paced environment, adept at multi-tasking whilst maintaining daily responsibilities.
  • A keen interest and background in fashion and luxury goods.
  • Field-based role requiring a full UK driving licence.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK/Ireland market, extensive customer service experience, and a comprehensive understanding of key retailers, including multi-channel businesses and department stores.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with SAP is a distinct advantage.
