Do you have main contracting/developer experience, working residential design and build contracts? We are currently seeking a Quantity or Senior Surveyor to manage residential housing schemes across the East Midlands. Not your typical House Builder!
A strong understanding of subcontract procurement and construction commercial management is essential, along with experience in both pre- and post-contract administration, including cost planning, estimating, preparation of bills of quantities, tendering and procurement, valuations, final accounts and commercial reporting.
Candidates should also demonstrate a broad understanding of construction processes, materials and building systems, be confident using Excel and other standard office software, and hold a full UK driving licence.
Skills & Experience- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar subject
- Proven experience in the residential construction/house building sectors
- Experienced in producing commercial risk financial reports and presenting key findings
- IT literate, including Microsoft Office packages and CRM systems such as Salesforce
- First class attention to detail
- Experienced in contractual dispute management and resolutions
- Experience in producing pre-contract tender packages, Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and cost estimates
- Demonstrable numerical analytic skills, with the ability to inspect large financial data sets and identify anomalies
- Full, UK driving license essential
