Are you currently working towards a HND / HNC or construction related degree? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a Construction Civils Contractor in the East Midlands. Working between the East Midlands Office and site projects, working with the Commercial Team and the Commercial Director ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. With mentorship and hands‑on experience, you will have the opportunity to advance your career in quantity surveying.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and submitting applications for payment to clients.
  • Pricing variations and maintaining accurate cost tracking.
  • Issuing notifications to clients in line with contractual obligations.
  • Coordinating the issuing and management of construction drawings.
  • Supporting the preparation and finalization of valuations and accounts.
  • Monitoring project budgets and conducting detailed cost analysis.
  • Assisting with the procurement of materials and subcontractor services.

Requirements

  • Experience in groundworks, construction, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
  • HND/HNC qualification or actively working towards a construction‑related degree.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, project management tools).
  • A proactive and problem‑solving mindset.
  • Valid UK driving license.
