MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and coordinate daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations while meeting production throughput, quality, and labour utilisation targets.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop frontline employees through performance management, training, communication, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor production, quality, and safety performance metrics; identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support implementation of Lean manufacturing and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Safety, Quality, Maintenance, and Sanitation teams to maintain compliance with food safety, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety standards, including participation in audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Lead shift communications, team huddles, and operational coordination activities while supporting emergency response efforts and maintaining accurate operational documentation and reporting.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business needs require.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Associate degree in manufacturing, industrial technology, engineering, or related technical field preferred.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing or high-speed production environments preferred.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or behaviour-based safety programs preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in hot, humid, cold, noisy, and crowded manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to bend, crawl, climb ladders, reach, and grasp frequently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to respond effectively to operational and emergency situations within the facility.
