Operating under Richardson Oat Milling, Crisp Malt, EDME, and Micronized Food Products (MFP), Richardson supplies the domestic and international food, brewing, and distilling industries.
We currently have an opportunity for a Production Operator at our EDME, Mistley location.
Job Purpose
The Production Operator is responsible for running the Production Lines, producing finished goods; raw materials, bespoke mixes or internal products meeting the required specification for each product.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the line is running at optimum production speed and ensure the product is made to a good standard, whilst assisting in the assembly and packing of a variety of goods.
- Work well with the production planners and other operators to ensure products are made and delivered on time.
- Ensure compliance to Health and Safety regulations/procedures are always kept.
- Ensure production area is clean and tidy and complies with Health and Safety and Food Regulations, whilst adhering to the clean as you go policy.
- Report any breaches in EDME procedures to your line manager as soon as possible to ensure EDME requirements and legal requirements are met.
- Work with the production manager and supervisors to perform cleaning tasks around site as required.
- Report any Hazards, Near Misses and Unsafe conditions when any are found to your production supervisor.
- Ensure required paperwork is completed correctly and records are maintained to comply with Company Policy and Regulations.
- Work with production supervisors; production manager and production assistant to make sure all necessary training is carried out.
- Making sure Food Safety Quality Checks are carried out in a timely manner and adhering to Company Policy and Procedures.
