Since 1870 we have been making malted barley for brewers and distillers all over the world from our home maltings in Norfolk, England. Today, we continue that work in 4 countries, across 7 maltings with a specific emphasis on supplying distilleries and craft breweries. We currently have an opportunity for a Production Operative (Warehouse) at our Great Ryburgh location. The Warehouse Operator is responsible for picking customer orders RFT and in full, loading lorries ready for despatch safely and ensuring that pallets are secure on each lorry.

  • Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure customer orders are picked correctly using the in-house scan gun system.
  • Ensure all orders are picked right first time.
  • Ensure orders are wrapped and labelled correctly ready for despatch.
  • Ensure lorries are loaded safely and correctly to reflect the daily loading sheet.
  • Ensure pallets are stacked and wrapped ready for onward transportation.
  • Ensure stock is booked in correctly from the Sack Plant into the Wine Racks warehouse.
  • Liaising with colleagues regarding stock that is required back from the Wine Racks warehouse for orders each day.
  • Carry out weekly racking inspections going by the SIMA guidelines.
  • Highlight any racking damage to your supervisor or manager.
  • Off load any red risks as required.
  • Carry out a weekly stock check and record any stock gains or losses to your supervisor or manager.
  • Report identified hazards, near misses and accidents to your line manager as soon as possible to allow action to be taken.
  • Report any breaches in Crisp procedures to your line manager as soon as possible to ensure Crisp requirements and legal requirements are met.
  • Ensure warehouse and loading area is kept clean and tidy to an auditable standard to ensure compliance to food safety regulations and customer requirements.
  • Ensure cleaning records and associated documentation is maintained.
