The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We currently have an opportunity for a Millwright at our Barrhead, AB. As a Millwright, you are responsible for providing maintenance support to maximize production and supply quality product to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance
- Design, fabrication of parts to change equipment when necessary
- Use steam trap analysis including repairs to steam related equipment
- Maintain and update all schematics after work has been completed that pertain to the Mill
- Practice and enforce plant safety and food safety standards
- Investigate all reports of mechanical and operational problems in the Mill
- Communicate with management any failures found in the Mill
Qualifications
- Knowledge of maintenance practices, preventative and predictive maintenance
- Strong computer, math, electrical, welding, plumbing and pipe fitting skills
- Perform work orders, unscheduled maintenance, and task forms with appropriate documentation, boiler water treatment, and RO monitoring
- Monday to Friday work schedule
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs
- Journeyman Red Seal Millwright certificate is required
- Welding experience considered an asset
