In business for over 85 years, Richardson & Starling is the largest building preservation contractor in Scotland and one of the largest in the UK. For three years running, we have been recognized as the Property Care Association contractor of the year. We take pride in the excellent reputation our company has with both our customers and our staff.
With a network of 16 branches across Scotland and the North of England, we offer a comprehensive range of property preservation and repair services to property owners, building professionals, local businesses, and local authorities.
We are now looking to employ a Property Surveyor to become part of our team.
Full Time/Permanent – Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 17:00pm & Friday, 08:00am to 16:00pm.
Job Description
- Carry out surveys in domestic, local authority, and social housing properties.
- Prepare comprehensive reports using word templates, work schedules, plan drawings, and estimates on excel templates.
- Service branch enquiries relating to property defects.
Knowledge, Experience & Requirements
- This position would suit an individual from a trades background with skills relating to an understanding of domestic property construction and simple drawing packages, as well as Office 365.
- Previous experience in surveying insurance claims is preferred.
- Previous construction experience preferred.
- Willingness to learn, take instruction, and learn on the job.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
