Can you bring skills, flexibility, creativity and a team-working ethos to a small well-regarded landscape design and environmental management practice located in North Wales, 30 minutes from Chester? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated ecologist to be based in our Ruthin Office, Denbighshire to provide support to the wider multi-disciplinary team. The role is office-based but will involve working away from home, as well as evening and night-time working, on some high profile and challenging projects.
Richards, Moorehead and Laing Ltd, a multi-disciplinary practice established in 1984 has a wide portfolio of work in infrastructure projects, renewable energy projects and residential and leisure development. Our team is composed of Landscape Architects, Environmental Managers, Ecologists, and Environmental Practitioners.
Candidates should have the following level of education and experience:
- Relevant degree
- Full driving licence
- At least 10 years’ experience working as an ecologist
- Experience of writing ecology reports
- Able to supervise and manage junior members of staff
- Hold protected species licences, in particular for GCN and bats
- Good Botany skills
- Full Member of CIEEM
- ECOW experience
- CSCS card holder
The following skills are considered advantageous, but not essential for the role:
- GIS/CAD
- Welsh language skills
- Off road driver training
- EPS Licences for Wales
