Job Description
Junior Full Stack Developer – early-stage start-up
React Native, Node.js, TypeScript, ML, mobile apps
£40-50k equity
London – 2-3 days per week in the office
We’re looking for a talented Junior Full Stack Mobile Application Developer to join a very small early-stage tech startup creating a sustainable future for travel. With VC funding secured and contracts with a major Premier League football club and one of the largest universities in the UK.
The role will suit an ambitious graduate with a degree in Computer Science (or similar) plus 1-2+ years' experience in a mobile app developer / full stack software engineering role.
The successful candidate will have an interest in machine learning and will grab the opportunity to get involved with an ML system which processes GPS data to understand user travel histories.
The ability to learn quickly is more important than an exact match to all the technical skills.
Requirements:
- 1-2+ years’ experience
- Experience building and shipping mobile applications, preferably with React Native
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript
- Experience with Node.js for backend development
- Familiarity with modern frontend and backend frameworks
- A solid understanding of RESTful APls and mobile-to-server communication
- Adaptability and an interest in learning new things quickly as the business develops
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with the Expo framework for React Native
- Experience with MongoDB
- Knowledge of Fastify or similar Node.js web frameworks
- Experience with payment systems like Stripe
- Familiarity with mapping and location-based services
- An interest in sustainable technology and community-building platforms
