Richard Taunton Sixth Form College are delighted to offer an opportunity for a Teacher of Horizon (Alternative Provision) to join our new and developing post‑16 provision. This is a part‑time permanent contract for 13.5 teaching hours, due to start September 2026.

Salary: Sixth Form Teacher Pay Scale – Spine Point 1‑9 – £33,465‑£51,714 FTE (dependent on experience)

This role supports students with SEMH needs, focusing on re‑engagement, integration into post‑16 education and positive progression. You will:

  • Design and deliver a highly personalised and engaging curriculum
  • Support students to build confidence, resilience and independence
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral and SEND teams

The successful candidate will be calm, nurturing, resilient and highly committed to student success. An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
