Job Description
Our Client is the LNG trading and shipping arm of a major energy group, providing global solutions across the LNG and maritime sectors. The wider organization operates internationally and is considered one of the more prominent energy players in its region.
We are looking for a well-rounded Risk Management professional with experience within LNG trading to join the Risk and Middle office team.
Key responsibilities
- Producing and analysing risk P&L, ensuring timely identification of key drivers and ongoing development;
- Monitoring and reporting risk exposures and limit utilisation;
- Contributing to the design and implementation of appropriate VaR, CaR, EaR and stress testing methodologies;
- Supporting development and enhancement of the ETRM system, including testing;
- Validating and maintaining pricing curves for Physical and Financial products;
- Oversee the integrity of trade booking and position date and coordinate with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies;
- Coordinating credit support process including PCG, SBLC and LC issuance;
- Managing EMIR and REMIT regulatory reporting processes;
- Supporting continuous enhancement and development of controls and processes in line with internal risk policies;
- Liaising with Trading and Chartering teams, Legal, Finance, IT teams as well as external counterparties;
- Support audits and internal regulatory reporting requests
Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience in risk management / Middle Office function within LNG trading.
- University degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering or similar disciplines;
- Sound working knowledge of ETRM systems;
- Strong knowledge of derivative trading;
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, ability to analyse and interpret complex data and present it in a clear and concise manner;
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and results oriented approach;
- Self-starter with ability to multitask and re-prioritise deliverables at short notice;
- Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Experience with EMIR and REMIT reporting advantageous.
