Our client is a very successful and dynamic European Energy Trading business. As part of the team, you will contribute to the development of innovative energy products and the promotion of renewable energy solutions. We are seeking the expertise of an experienced Energy/Commodity trading professional to join the trading function, who has a solid understanding of deal lifecycles, market processes and regulatory frameworks in Energy trading, to lead and support new product implementations and updates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and support new product implementations and updates, coordinating requirements across Trading, Risk, Operations, IT, and supporting functions.
- Drive commercial prioritisation with Front Office, structuring and evaluating a growing pipeline of product requests.
- Manage Single Deal Approvals (SDAs), ensuring timely processing and tactical implementation.
- Steer the implementation roadmap, balancing multiple initiatives and deadlines in a dynamic trading environment.
- Enable commercial teams by delivering solutions and pragmatic support for new business activities and ad hoc requests.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- University degree in Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in commodity trading, ideally in commercial, middle office, or operations roles.
- Strong understanding of deal lifecycle, market processes, and regulatory frameworks in energy trading.
- Familiarity with ETRM systems, data flows, market platforms, and complex system architectures.
- Superior communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance competing interests and maintain effective collaboration.
- A proactive and resilient team player who adds value in a fast‑paced trading environment and can handle a high volume of requests, including frequent ad‑hoc tasks from Front Office.
- Excellent problem‑solving capabilities and the ability to navigate complex multi‑stakeholder environments.
- Fluent English required; German and additional languages are an advantage.
