Overview

Richard Irvin, an RSK Group company, is recruiting for a Bid Manager to join the team based in Glasgow, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position. The role will work closely with the Directors and Division Managers and report to a member of the Senior Management Team. The role is to contribute to business success and growth, delivering pipeline requirements in line with the business plan, and ensuring maximum efficiency and margin.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the Development and Bid Strategy and actively promote RIFM in the marketplace.
  • Generate leads through market and client research and identify bid/tender opportunities in current and new markets in conjunction with the Division Leads and Bid and Estimating resource.
  • Develop, maintain and manage relationships with key customers to effectively manage business agreements and contracts. Identify opportunities to expand future contract scope with existing clients.
  • Identify key bid and contract objectives with clients pre and during the bid process.
  • Coordinate and manage estimating and bid resources, ensuring any potential improvement/efficiency opportunities are identified and implemented.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Approximately 5+ years’ experience in the Facilities Management sector.
  • Experience of aligning business development and sales strategies and solutions.
  • Experience presenting tenders and proposals with a proven track record of successfully pitching for new business.
  • Track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads.
  • Track record in contract improvement and delivery.
