Richard Huish College has a strong reputation regionally in its offer of a wide range of A level and vocational courses in Taunton and the surrounding areas in Somerset. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Administrative Assistant to join the busy and inclusive Apprenticeships and Adult Learning team.

The successful applicant will have excellent administration and communication skills, working closely with the Programme Leads, Assessors, Apprentices and employers to build strong relationships. They must be able to manage their own priorities and work with a high level of attention to detail, helping to ensure that the College meets its quality standards in the administration of apprenticeships and adult learning through supporting Programme Leads to effectively comply with national funding regulations and the quality requirements of external bodies, such as Awarding Organisations and Ofsted.

Salary & Working Conditions
  • Salary: Support staff salary spine point 7-8, £25,951 - £26,343 FTE (actual salary £9,684 -£9,831)
  • Hours: part time 15 hrs per week could be across 3 days or full week, can be discussed at interview
  • Contract: Permanent, term time plus 2 weeks
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Closing date: 08/04/2026
