Hours: 37 hours, 39 weeks (term time plus 1 week)

Working pattern: Mon to Thurs 8am – 4pm, Friday 8am – 3:30pm

Salary: Pathway 5, £26,486 – £28,446 per annum (FTE £31,067 – £33,366)

Site: Richard BarnesAcademy (Trinity Site)

Join Richard Barnes Academy as our new Assistant SENCO and help lead the way in delivering outstanding SEND provision.

Your role:

As Assistant SENCO, you will play a vital role in supporting the SENCO to manage and deliver high-quality SEND provision across the academy. You’ll be instrumental in coordinating the Graduated Approach, maintaining accurate records, liaising with external agencies and families, and ensuring that every learner with SEND receives the tailored support they need to thrive.

You’ll bring experience working with children with SEND, a strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and families. Your enthusiasm, organisation, and commitment to inclusive education will be key to your success in this role.
