Richard Abson Group are proud to be working with a well-established main dealership in Southport to recruit an experienced Workshop Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and organised automotive professional to take control of a busy, high-performing workshop and play a key role in its continued success.
The Role
As Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of a workshop consisting of 11 Technicians and supporting 3 Service Advisors. You will ensure smooth workflow, maximum efficiency, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and allocating daily workloads to 11 Technicians
- Supporting Service Advisors in managing customer expectations
- Ensuring all servicing and repair work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on time
- Monitoring productivity and workshop performance
- Accurately recording Technician time
- Writing clear technical reports and recommendations
- Maintaining high service standards and customer satisfaction levels
The Package
- £40,000 Basic Salary
- £6,000+ Uncapped Bonus (Realistic OTE £46,000+)
- Monday–Friday 8:00am–6:00pm
- 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:30am–12:30pm)

- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or Senior Workshop Supervisor within a main dealership
