Richard Abson Group are working exclusively with a highly respected car dealership in Crewe, and we're searching for an experienced Dealership Accountant to join their team.
About the Role
As the Dealership Accountant, you’ll take full responsibility for the financial health and reporting of the dealership. You will oversee daily accounting operations, produce accurate monthly management accounts, support senior leadership with financial insights, and ensure compliance with all relevant processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce monthly and annual management accounts
- Monitor financial performance and provide detailed reporting
- Oversee sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer and group standards
- Lead and support the accounts team
- Liaise with department heads to improve financial efficiency
About You:
- Proven experience as a Dealership Accountant (motor trade experience essential)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of CDK/Keyloop or Kerridge is highly advantageous
