The Role
We are seeking a CNC Milling Machining Setter Operator, to increase our capability / capacity in this area. This role involves working in a small team to deliver high quality transmission components, mainly for the motorsport / aerospace industries, with a right first-time philosophy. You will be supported by our EdgeCam and Delcam offline programming, as well as your team leader.
Key Competencies and Experience
- Proven ability to produce precision components from technical drawings and route cards, working to tight tolerances and within routed timeframes
- Strong experience machining a variety of materials using 3-, 4-, and 5-axis (3+2) CNC machines
- Proficient in reading and understanding Fanuc machine code; capable of basic on-machine programming, with support from offline programmers
- Able to read, understand, and edit CNC programmes, including adjusting speeds and feeds as needed
- Competent in using measuring equipment to inspect work against planning and drawing specifications
- Demonstrates a proactive and innovative approach to team support, with a strong focus on problem solving and continuous improvement
- Flexible in supporting other areas of manufacturing operations
- Willing to work overtime and operate multiple machines as required to meet KPIs and delivery deadlines
- Basic knowledge of wire erosion is advantageous, though not essential
